Echeveria 'Agavoides Prolifera'

The Echeveria 'Agavoides Prolifera' is a striking and unique succulent that forms rosettes with thick, triangular leaves resembling agave plants. Its fleshy leaves are a rich green with subtle red tips, which become more intense when exposed to full sunlight, creating a beautiful contrast. As a prolific grower, this variety often produces offsets or "pups" around the base, adding to its visual appeal.

Key Features:

  • Agave-like Appearance: Triangular, thick leaves with a pointed shape, forming a tight rosette.
  • Vibrant Color: Green leaves with red or pinkish tips that deepen with sunlight exposure.
  • Prolific Growth: Produces offsets or pups around the base, making it an excellent plant for propagation.
  • Low Maintenance: Thrives in well-draining soil, requiring minimal watering and plenty of bright, indirect light.

The Echeveria 'Agavoides Prolifera' is perfect for adding structure and color to your succulent collection. Its beautiful form, easy care, and ability to produce new plants make it an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned collectors.

Succulent Care Guide from Ramsey Succulents

1. Light:

Succulents thrive in bright, indirect light. Aim for 6 hours of sunlight daily. If growing indoors, a south-facing window works best. Rotate regularly to ensure even growth.

2. Water:

Water sparingly—typically every 2-4 weeks. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of issues, so when in doubt, water less!

3. Soil:

Plant succulents in well-draining soil. If repotting, use cactus or succulent mix to prevent root rot.

4. Temperature:

Succulents prefer 60-80°F (15-27°C). Avoid extreme cold, as most are sensitive to frost.

5. Pot:

Make sure the pot has drainage holes. Good drainage is essential to avoid water accumulation.
